Ronald Friedman

President & Chief Executive Officer

Ronald Friedman has been the Managing Member of CAMG Ventures since its inception. Mr. Friedman is responsible for all aspects of the operations including sourcing, pricing, due diligence oversight, investor relations, compliance oversight and investor reporting. Mr. Friedman has over 30 years of mortgage banking and secondary market experience. Mr. Friedman founded his own Mortgage Bank which he operated from 1989-2008. He is a licensed CPA and graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from George Washington University.

Ivan Halpern

Chief Operating Officerr

Mr. Halpern joined CAMG Ventures from Paulson & Co where he was on the Investment Management team of the Paulson Credit Funds from 2008-2017. He specialized in the valuation of investment opportunities in mortgages and other consumer credit products. Prior to Paulson, Mr. Halpern was Managing Director of C-BASS and responsible for whole loan acquisitions, securitizations and asset management. He was responsible for over $50 billion of acquisitions and securitizations. Mr. Halpern has over 25 years of experience in the secondary mortgage and credit markets. Mr. Halpern has a B.S. in Accounting from George Washington University and is a licensed CPA.

Ron Brandenburg

Managing Director & Head of Asset Management

Mr. Brandenburg has been an executive in the mortgage industry for 30 years and is an expert at mortgage loan default servicing. Since 2008 Mr. Brandenburg has managed five investment pools which collectively have purchased $350 million of REO assets, performing, re-performing and non-performing first mortgages. He has created effective systems and controls for sourcing, valuing, acquiring and liquidating residential mortgages and real estate assets and has established and maintained trading relationships with counterparties ranging from small funds to wall street firms. Mr. Brandenburg is licensed as a Real Estate Broker by the California Bureau of Real Estate.

Michelle Ambroze

Director of Contract Finance

Ms. Ambroze brings to CAMG almost 35 years of experience in the secondary mortgage market, including contract negotiation, all aspects of due diligence, asset management, collateral management, and other varied experience associated with both purchases and sales of mortgage loans and real estate owned. Prior to CAMG, Ms. Ambroze spent the majority of her long career managing transactions from ‘cradle to grave’ for the various MountainView entities (and their predecessors, and now Situs), a well-regarded leading advisory firm in the secondary market – while at MountainView, she managed thousands of transactions of varying sizes, asset types, counterparty types, etc. Ms. Ambroze holds a B.B.A. from the University of Iowa.

David Carnivale

Director of Servicing Oversight

Mr. Carnivale has more than 27 years of mortgage servicing and loan disposition experience. Mr. Carnivale is responsible for servicer oversight, loss mitigation and asset management strategies for the entire CAMG portfolio. Mr. Carnivale focuses on maximizing collections as a result of various loss mitigation strategies. Prior to CAMG, he was Director of Portfolio Oversight at Clayton Holdings and has held various management positions in default management for several large banking institutions. Mr. Carnivale holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts.

Kelly Coughlin

Director of Collateral Management

Ms. Coughlin has been in the real estate and mortgage industry for over 20 years. She is responsible for collateral management. Ms. Coughlin oversees the legal document tracking and management including verifying the proper chain of assignments of mortgages, note endorsements, allonges, title and other critical collateral documentations. Ms. Coughlin holds a B.S. in Organizational Management from Colorado State University and an M.S. in Finance from University of Wyoming.

Brian Zegans

Senior Loan Analyst

Mr. Zegans has been with CAMG since its inception in 2007 and is responsible for the acquisition and resale of assets. Mr. Zegans oversees the due diligence process focusing on the review of the borrower risk profiles, that includes the review of loan-level servicing comments, equity verification and lien analysis. Mr. Zegans graduated from the State University at Albany with a B.S. in Communications and Business Administration.

Spencer Posner

Technology and Analytics

Mr. Posner began his career at PwC in audit for alternative asset management companies. He then transitioned to technology and automation advisory where he utilized emerging technology to standardize data and streamline processes for hedge funds, REITs, and private equity companies. He is responsible for our data strategy and technology operations. Mr. Posner holds a BBA and M.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Miami, is a licensed CPA, and has a certification in programming as a full-stack engineer.
